Jamison turns 3 months old (in the hospital unfortunately)

Jamison turned 3 months old this week. Unfortunately, she spent it in the hospital as she had an infection. The doctors admitted her due to her age and wanted to be cautious and take preventive measures. How did we end up in the hospital? Jamison had not been feeling well for two days. We ended up in the ER after an after-hours doctor checked Jamison out. She was being cautious in sending us, but evidently for good reason. She was concerned that Jamison was lethargic, eating less than usual, being fussy, and was mildly dehydrated and thought the ER could run tests to find out why.

This photo was taken on my phone in the ER. Once the pediatric nurse saw her, she rushed her back to a room since she looked so tired and pale. This picture was taken after she had been significantly poked and prodded. All of the crying she did meant she was no longer sleepy. In the ER, she was given an IV for dehydration (we hope that she doesn't need one again) and had blood and urine taken for tests. She also had a lumbar puncture done to check for menigitis (after this photo as she was not a happy camper once that procedure was done).

Before we left the ER, the doctors had discovered Jamison had an infection and started antibiotics. Despite being a long night with very little sleep, she was feeling better the next morning. She spent a lot of time lounging around and sleeping.

She even got in some tummy time on the 2nd day once it was clear she was closer to normal.
