pics from school

For Jamison, the sunny weather has meant having fun in the sun!

The Toddler Garden is bursting with spring blossoms. Since the toddlers have been examining everything very closely, the teachers offered them magnifying glasses to enhance their study. I'm not quite sure what Jamison was studying here.

Jessica had fun in her side of the school playing circle time.

sidewalk art

The weather has been so warm lately, that art moved outside this week at Jessica's school. Jessica enjoyed drawing on the concrete outside.

fox and the hound dresses

Mimi sent Jessica and Jamison Fox and the Hound Dresses recently. Jessica was very excited to match her sister and Jamison was very excited to pose for pictures this morning.

She even tried to show off her dress to her daddy.

The girls were happy to pose together too.

fun at school

It has been another fun week at school for Jamison. This week, corn meal has been put out in the sensory table and Jamison has had fun scooping it into the bowls, etc. She was so proud when she got her pot full!

Additionally, Jessica and Jamison have been having fun playing in the outside water table. Each morning this week, they have helped add the water, bubbles, and color! Then, it has been on to scooping water into buckets.

Jamison just loves bubbles and bubbles is her new favorite word.

Jamison's first movie theatre experience

On opening night (last Friday), we took Jessica and Jamison to see the Lorax. This was Jamion's first movie theatre experience and we figured the only way we could get her to sit down was to feed her there, so we all had a hot dog and popcorn dinner. Here Jim, Jessica, and Jamison are waiting for the movie to start.

Jamison was more interested in walking around initially, which was fine. She enjoyed her hot dog and popcorn while standing. The seat made a perfect table.

We were shocked that she made it through all but the last 10 minutes of the movie.

another night of ice skating

Last night, we took the girls ice skating again. This time, I strapped on some skates to push Jamison around. I am pretty sure that I would have not stayed upright if it was not for the stroller.

Jessica finally started skating all by herself. This was a clip of her when she just started out.

Eventually, Jim moved further and further away. When she was going the length of the rink, Jim kept moving around the rink, so much so that Jessica yelled, "Stop moving. This isn't fair. I can't skate". I was skating next to her and said, "but you are skating." That clicked it and from then on she skated around the rink all by herself. She now declares that she does not need parents to help her!

a bike ride to the park

The weather has been so nice lately, that we have been toying with the idea of doing more biking as a family. When we saw a bike trailer at Costco, that sealed the deal. While we hoped that Jessica would ride her bike and Jamison would go in the carrier, Jessica decided that she wanted to ride in the new stroller too! Our first ride was to the park.

Jamison had a great time at the park. She played in the sand (of course), went down the slide all by herself, and really had a good time swinging.

Jessica was all about climbing.

Jamison also had a good time riding the rocking horse.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, Jessica wore a Cat in the Hat outfit.

a class at Happy Hollow

A few weekends ago, we took the girls to Happy Hollow as Jessica was enrolled in an animal class there. Jessica took the class with her friend Isabella.

While Jessica disappeared for a class on animal tracking and scat, which is now Jessica's favorite word by the way, Jamison got to play in the park with two parents devoted only to her (unheard of when you are the baby) and her friend Ben. She enjoyed riding the carousel and cars. For some reason, she seems to be the only child that prefers the police cars to fire trucks.

She was also absolutely in love with all of the different animal statues and fun seats that are scattered throughout the park. I assume that this is because the animals are all her size and the seats do fun things like bounce, spin, etc.

We all enjoyed riding Danny the Dragon.

While in the park, we even saw Jessica walking around doing her class. We all waved and then went our separate ways.

And, no, I did not put Jamison in a cage!

Eventually, Jessica's class ended and she wanted to go on some rides too. The number one request was the roller coaster. She went with her Daddy.

On the way out, we even got to say hi to Danny!

It was a fun day!
