a trip to the amusement park

A few weekends ago, we went with some friends to the local amusement park.  Both Jessica and Jamison were excited to meet Snoopy and his friend (I am not quite up on all the Peanuts gang just yet).

Jamison got brave on the carousel as she rode the horse one handed.

She also got chauffered in a really old car.

Jessica and her friends, Luke and Leilani, wanted to pose with the Snoopy statue.

Jessica and Leilani enjoyed riding the pumpkin ride all by themselves.

Most of the kids played nice when posing on the Snoopy bench, except Jamison of course.

Jessica and Leilani were also quite happy to go by themselves on the roller coaster.

The smaller kids had fun too. Jamison and Ben enjoyed a ride on the airplane.

Jessica enjoyed flying high on the swings.

Jessica was a good big sister and accompanied Jamison as the responsible party on the snail ride.

The mini drop ride was a big hit for the older kids.

And, the girls just had to pose with more of the Peanuts gang.

We ended the day with some fun in the water park.

Jessica did some modeling for a dressmaker a few weeks ago.  Here are a few of the pictures.

a class at the zoo

Back in April, Jessica took a science class at the zoo.  It was a really warm day, so Jessica was ready with her water and hat.

Jamison was ready for the warm weather too, except her hat was a bit big.

While Jessica was at class, Jamison had fun riding the carousel.

Both Jamison and Ben had fun climbing the animal statues.

And, they also had a lot of fun riding the rides.

This week, Jamison's school has introduced some new cat and dog stuffed animals for everyone to play with.  Jamison has been a bit obsessed with one kitty and one doggy in particular.  She took them on the slide multiple times.

She hung out with them in the sand area.

And, she even gave them a tour of the new treehouse.

Jessica was extremely interested in the new tree house in Jamison's part of the school.  She wanted to visit it every morning.

Jamison, on the other hand, was not very interested in the tree house. She wanted to play with the water every day though. Here she is waiting for the water tables to be filled.

She seemed to have so much fun pouring and dumping the water.  The ground under the table was dry when I dropped her off.

Jessica and Jamison enjoy playing tea party together with Samantha and their other dolls.  Jamison just loves the little tea party table that we have set up.

She loves to pretend to drink out of the little glasses.

And, she also likes to feed her baby dolls.

Jessica spends a lot of time making Samantha look pretty for the tea party.

Jamison and her friends played in the water table this week and explored mixing colors all at the same time.

Jamison also enjoyed experimenting with light and color using the projector inside.

Book time is also a part of the day Jamison enjoys.  It includes two of her favorite things -- books and cuddles.

On the other side of the school, Jessica and her friend Isabella enjoyed playing kitchen/restaurant in the sand area. They made a variety of concoctions.

The girls also enjoyed playing indoors with the small figurines.

a morning at school

One morning last week I got to spend a bit more time with Jessica and Jamison during drop-off.  Jamison has been spending a lot of time playing with the trains lately.  This morning the trains weren't out yet. Rather than choose a few, she decided that she wanted to play with the whole basket of them (a basket that is larger than her too).  She likes to line up all the trains on the track.

Eventually, we made our way outside where the tree house is being built.  Jessica was excited to see the view from above.

The water table is a huge hit.  The children are experimenting with color in the different buckets.  This morning, the girls got to fill the water buckets with different colors.  Jamison was so excited to do this job.

Jessica got to help too.  She always chooses pink.

Jessica practices piano

Recently, Jessica started taking piano lessons.  Here she is practicing one night.

Jamison paints at school

Jamison has spent a good amount of time painting at school.  On the easel, she seems to favor painting lines.

With finger painting, it seems to be about getting it all over her hands and then going from there.
