a trip to the pumpkin patch

A few weekends ago, we took the girls to the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay. We have a tradition to go to one farm that has pumpkins, a petting zoo, pony rides, a train ride, and bounce houses. In addition to that, we also did a hay maze and lots of pumpkin picking. At the first farm, Jessica and Jamison enjoyed the pony rides.

We all had fun posing for pictures with the pumpkins.

Both girls had fun feeding and petting the goats.

The train ride was a big hit and Jessica and Jamison's friends joined us.

The hay ride was lots of fun too.

There were some cute photos with friends too.

At the second pumpkin patch, Jessica got a golden pumpkin in the hay maze. It was a huge hit. Jamison got an even smaller golden pumpkin.

Eventually, we went and got pumpkins. It looks like we picked up something extra!

It was an exhausting day!

catching up with Jessica and Jamison

Despite being a few crazy weeks over here, both girls are managing to have lots of fun. Jessica, Jamison, and Jim showed off their musical skills in this impromptu concert.

Jamison also loves her music class.

Jamison has been trying to show us how big of a girl she really is. She suddenly wants to "draw" with crayons whenever we are at restaurants. There is a fair amount of eating crayons going on too.

She's also decided that eating watermelon off the rind is preferred.

Jamison seems to be our little engineer as she loves playing with the trains and figuring out how they all work.

And, it seems that Jamison's first words are cat and dog. Whatever happened to Mama and Dada?

mini golfing experiment

Back in September (yes, I am still trying to catch up with photos), Jessica really wanted to go mini golfing. We decided to go and see how Jamison would do now that she was mobile. Let's just say it was interesting as Jamison ran around and picked up all the balls.

We eventually had to retrieve the stroller and strap her in so we could actually play a bit.

Usually, we get out of mini golf without playing any of the arcade games. Jessica has now gone to enough birthday parties at arcades to know all about tickets and prizes, so Jim had to spend a great deal of time winning tickets for her. Jessica decided to get Jamison and herself princess crowns.

a trip to the cal academy of science

A few weeks ago, we took the girls to the California Academy of Sciences for a class party. While Jessica and I were up at the party, Jim and Jamison spent most of the morning looking at the aquariums. Jamison just loved looking at the fish.

Glued to the fish tank comes to mind.

Upstairs, Jessica and her friends had a visit with an animal, did crafts, learned about the animals in the exhibits, and got to eat cupcakes (the best part of the morning I am sure).

Afterwards, Jessica and Isabella looked at the exhibits too.

ahoy mateys

Jessica is very much into pirates these days. Here she is in her pirate outfit that is princessed up a bit.

it's been a long time coming

The girls have been enjoying the last bits of summer weather in the backyard. Jamison loves to play out there as there are so many thing to do like splashing around in the water table, dumping out sand from the sand table, and filling the wheelbarrow with various kitchen toys from the play house.

Jamison has also figured out the small slide (sort of) and loves to go down it.

Inside, Jamison also has her favorites. She loves to take the train table apart and often runs around the house with trains and other small parts that are not meant for a toddler.

Here she is contemplating how yummy this small container would be to chew. She did shove it in her mouth and I had to extract it. It is now hidden away as this became a favorite chew toy.

She also is a big fan of the play-doh that Jessica has and loves to pull everything off the art shelves. It's almost like she is saying stop me if you can.

Jamison is also becoming fast friends with Mousse.
