Jamison week 22

Jamison continued to show off her sitting skills in the Boppy. She is able to sit up longer and longer each day and seems to prefer the view in this position.

When she's not sitting in her boppy, she likes to roll around on the floor and play with her toys.

She's starting to roll more frequently from her back to her stomach and this does not make her happy at all. In fact, one night, she did this in her crib and we had to go and rescue her. We still haven't been able to capture this on film yet. Maybe one day she will do it for the camera.

Jamison also still likes to sit in her bouncy chair.

We're starting to hear Jessica say that Jamison is rude. That's because Jamison is really a vigorous spitter. And, since we've told Jessica that it is rude for her to spit, she assumes that it is rude for Jamison to do it too.

And, when I got hit with spit from across the table the other day, I did think it was quite rude!

Jamison has also become a lip smacker with her fishy face.

Additionally, both Jamison and Jessica are getting excited that Christmas is right around the corner. They got new Santa pajamas that they modeled one night after their bath.

family photos with Jack and Nicky

Recently, the girls took some photos with their cousins, Jack and NIcky. Here are a few of the pictures.

Thanksgiving photos

Jessica was very excited to be dressed up like her sister for Thanksgiving.

We even managed to snap a family photo.

pumpkin pies means happy thanksgiving

Today, when Jim and I picked Jessica up from school, she said that she wanted to make a pumpkin pie. I assume someone at school had talked about making a pumpkin pie, since we have never made one (or any pie for that matter) and Jessica's only experience with pumpkin food has been pumpkin bread, which she seemed to like. Anyways, Jim thought that baking a pumpkin pie would be a fun afternoon activity for Jessica and himself.

Jessica and Jim worked on making the pumpkin filling together. She decided the pumpkin filling was too gross to stir, but soon got involved pouring in sugar, etc.

Making a pie takes a long time, and Jessica wandered off before it was done. But, she sure did dig in to the pie when it was ready to eat (as did the rest of us). It was very good (as you can see by the big chunk missing from it) and she even asked us to save it for her (a sure sign that it was a winner).

Anyways, we hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

Jamison week 21

This is the week where Jamison showed everyone how strong she was by sitting up a bunch. Here she is sitting in front of her bear toy.

She loves to play with her toys now and everything goes in her mouth. Sophie is one of her new favorite chew toys.

And, she spends lots of time inspecting her toys too. Here she is starring at her rings. Fascinating I know!

We finally were able to catch Jamison laughing. She loves peek-a-boo.

My friend Elaine visited the girls while she was out in the Bay Area. Here they are mugging for her camera.

It was a happy week!

Jamison week 20

This was an exciting week for Jamison. It was the last week she stayed at home before heading to daycare (or baby school as Jessica calls its). She took advantage of all of the time she had at home. She played with some new toys this week. One of them was a big, soft flower that she likes to shove in her mouth.

The other was a giraffe that she seems to be fascinated by.

She also sat in front of her bear and played with it too.

She continues to play in her activity center and plays with the toys more and more.

And, she sits on the couch and plays with toys for longer periods of time now.

Jamison tolerated tummy time a bit this week too.

And, she worked on sitting up by staying in her boppy.

She has become very noisy over the past few weeks. She likes to chat all the time now.

And, she blows raspberries quiet a bit.

We brought out the highchair for Jamison so that she could join us at the dinner table.

And, this is what happens when you ask Jessica to get Jamison a toy.

Evidently, Jamison likes lots of toys and she wanted the whole bucket of them according to Jessica. I personally like the mirror perched on top of Jamison's head.

Jamison week 19

Jamison was all smiles this week.

She's also developed an obsession with her feet and hands. They seem to be her favorite "toys" at the moment.

Her new trick for the week is blowing raspberries.

And, once again, she likes to pose for the camera with her sister.

Jamison's first swing ride

Jamison took her first swing ride this weekend in the backyard.

She seemed to be more interested in chewing her hand than actually swinging though.

a foggy day at the zoo

This past weekend we took the girls to the zoo.

It was Jamison's first time riding in the stroller upright (I figured it was better for looking around). Jessica thought this was great and Jamison seemed to enjoy it too.

Jamison also enjoyed the animals from the Baby Bjorn.

Jessica had fun climbing and lounging on the animal statues.

Most of the animals were lounging around too.

Before we left, Jessica and I had fun riding the carousel.

Jamison weeks 17 and 18

It's been a busy few weeks for Jamison. She went to Disneyland for the first time and then spent a few days getting over a cold. So, she didn't have too much time to hang around and play. But, when she did, she enjoyed being in her activity center. It is one of her favorite activities.

She also liked to play with her toys while sitting on the couch.

And, sometimes, she even liked to spend some time on her tummy.

She had a first too while in Disneyland as she sat in a highchair for the first time.

And, as usual, she enjoyed spending time with her sister.

Photo Shoot: Jamison 4 months, Jessica 3 years 3 months

Here are some pictures that we took of Jessica and Jamison this weekend.

Halloween Trick-or-Treating

Last night, Jessica and Jamison went trick-or-treating with her friends Isabella and Benjamin. Jessica dressed up as Sleeping Beauty with her almost straight her (it started to curl almost immediately).

Here are Jessica and Isabella before we went trick-or-treating.

And, Jessica helped Jamison pose for the camera. Jamison dressed up as Belle.

Jessica and Isabella were quite eager to get candy. We had to trade off who got to ring the doorbell/get candy first in order to prevent shoving and pushing.

And, luckily, we trick-or-treated amongst Giants fans. We got score updates all throughout the night. Go Giants!
