Picture Day

Picture day is a full dress day at school.  Here is Jessica all dressed up before school.

Here are some photos of Jamison from school over the past few weeks.  She certainly seems very focused in all of them.

And, here, Jamison shows off her mad gymnastics skills.  She can hang on the bar for a really long time!

a fun playdate

Before school started, Jessica, Isabella, and Leila had fun on a playdate. Leila is a new friend that has come to school this year.  The girls had fun playing on Ben's airplane.

Jessica's first soccer game

This year, Jessica started playing soccer. She is a member of the Pink Unicorn team (GU6).  Here is a photo we took of her on her first day of soccer.

Jamison wanted to get in on the photo too.

Jessica has a friend from school, Ella, on her team.

Jamison enjoys going to games too because she likes playing soccer too.

She sometimes like to sit her chair, but only briefly.

After the game, Jessica saw her friend Isabella, who is on a different team.

Jessica's First Day of Kindergarten

Jessica's first day of Kindergarten was September 4th.  The first week of school is free dress, so she wore here "I Love School" dress.

Once we got to school, Jessica's cubby was all ready for her.

a surprise birthday celebration

Over Labor Day, we went to Indiana for a surprise party to celebrate Jim's dad's 70th birthday.  Here are some photos that we got of the girls and family.

At one point, Jamison just stopped cooperating.

Malcolm's 6th Birthday Party

Malcolm's 6th birthday was a science party.  The kids were able to make slime.

They were also able to make cotton candy.

Jessica and Jamison got to play with Benjamin and Tilly at the park towards the end of August.  The girls had fun going down the slide with Benjamin.

They also had fun riding the train together.

The girls had fun hanging out together towards the end of summer.

Jamison also had fun playing outside.  She went to the park.

She scooted around on her bike.

She pushed her bubble mower around the block while wearing a diving ring crown.

And, she had picnics out in the grass.

Jamison loves her big girl backpack

Now that Jamison is in big kid preschool, it was time to upgrade her to a big girl backpack.  She picked one with a princess theme of course.  Here she is modeling it the first day she brought it to school.

In general, the backpack is a bit on the large side for her.

But, she certainly enjoys walking into school with it.

The girls enjoyed baking lemon cake recently.  The best part, according to them, however, was licking the spoon.

Jessica practices her piano most days. Jamison likes to practice too.

seeing an old friend

A while back, I was able to connect with one of my friends from high school. Jessica and Jamison had fun playing with her daughter.  The downside was the Jamison refused to wear anything but a diaper.

Jessica has fun at camp

Summer was full of many camps for Jessica and she loved them all and they were all her favorites.  One of the reasons that she loved camp at the JCC was because she got to do monkey bars each day and went swimming.

And, she loved art camp. Here she is posing with the pink unicorn she helped sew.

Jamison had lots of fun at swim lessons at the end of summer.  She always enjoys playing on the play structure where she takes swim lessons.

She also has no problem posing for pictures.

Isabella's 5th Birthday Party

As soon as we got back from Florida, the girls celebrated Isabella's 5th birthday.  Rainbow Brite visited and brought costumes. Jessica very specifically chose the costume that was Barbie from the Island Princess. Jamison passed on costumes this time around even though her most favorite Ariel was available.

While the show was going on, Jamison was thrilled to have the swings all to herself.

Afterwards, it was face paint time.

It's not a party without a pinata.

Then, it was time to blow out the candles.

Jamison really enjoyed the cupcakes.

All the girls loved playing in the front yard on the airplane.

Jamison tried to claim the airplane as her own multiple times -- mine, mine, mine.

And, Jessica showed off her hanging skills.

The girls must have had a great time because they both fell asleep as soon as they got in the car.
