our deck is finished

Our deck is finally finished. Here are some photos of the seating area, dining area, and new bbq / bar area as well as Jessica's animal table. We just installed the lights and had some friends over last weekend. Thanks to Jim's dad for making the deck possible.

Jessica likes her tummy

I guess we are at the stage where body parts are cool. Jessica is currently into her tummy. She like to pat it, poke it, and show it to the world.

Jessica likes to swing

Jessica moves to a big girl table

We decided to get rid of the highchair earlier this week. Jessica eats at tables at school, so we figured why not at home? Duke and Mousse seem to like this arrangement even better than the highchair as her new table is just their height.

just a cute photo from month 14

cooling off at the park

The start of Labor Day weekend was very warm. To find a way to make the day a bit more bearable, I took Jessica to the water area at the local park. She loves playing and splashing in the water.

the search for an angelfish rocker

After dropping off Jessica at daycare one day, Jim came home wanting an angelfish rocker. He saw how much she liked the one they had at school and he wanted to get her one for home. Unfortunately, none of the stores in the area stock the item. Shipping on it is crazy because the box is 3 feet by 3 feet. Luckily, we found one locally that was in like new condition. After driving around with it all day in the car, Jessica finally got to test drive it.

Jessica goes on her first tricycle ride

This week was a big week for Jessica. She got lots of new toys for around the house. One of these was a new trike. This was probably more for me as she doesn't even reach the peddles yet, but she sure seems to enjoy it. She holds on to the handle bars and tries to ding the bell when we ride around the neighborhood. Anyways, responsible parents that we are, we bought her a helmet to go along with her new trike. We never thought she would keep it on since she is so opposed to anything being on her head (i.e. hat, bow). She surprised us though. She didn't try to remove it on her first ride and hasn't on any of the subsequent rides either. I suppose I should knock on wood.
