bunny obsessed and other things

The highlight of this week has been Jamison's obsession with a musical and moving bunny that we have. Anytime she cries, Jessica runs to get it for her in an effort to cheer her up. Tonight, she also figured out how to turn it off and on by herself, which was a whole new source of excitement and pride for her.

Unfortunately for Jamison, she became an intimate acquaintance of the brick walkway in front of our house last night while playing outside. Her face pretty much went splat right onto the bricks when she took a tumble. Despite lots of blood yesterday, her face is looking better one day later.



Earlier in the week, we had snapped some photos of Jamison and Jessica before Jamison's cut up face incident. They are both looking cute, but Jamison sure does not want to pose for any pictures these days.






Jamison has also been demonstrating how big of a girl she is. She has decided to eat corn on the cob like the rest of us.



And, because I left her sippy cup at home one night, she was able to show us that she can in fact already drink from a straw.

This was absolutey huge for Jim and I as Jessica was almost 2 before she figured out that trick.

Jessica and Jamison go to Bella's 4th Fairy Garden Tea Party

This past weekend, Jessica and Jamison went to Bella's 4th birthday party, which was fairy garden themed. Everyone got a tutu, fairy wings, jewelry, glitter hairspray, and their own make-up. Jessica enjoyed the make-up part of the day the best!



The girls thought that getting dressed up like fairies was fun.




Jamison, on the other hand, loved the bubble area. She made a mess of herself with the bubble solution as she dumped it all over the place and thought the big bubble wands made excellent chewing sticks.

All of the girls gathered around the table for a garden tea party lunch.



After lunch, the girls played musical wands, which is like musical chairs.



Jessica was the big winner.

And, Jamison just had a really good time walking around.

These days, it is really hard to catch a photo of Jamison as she is constantly in motion. It seems that the only way she stops for a few seconds is to look at picture books.



She's been spending a lot of time playing with the kitchen lately.

And, evidently, she thinks that Duke makes a good drum.

Each night, Jamison runs around her room during book time. Jessica and Jamison had been fighting over the little chair. Jessica came up with sharing as a compromise.



Being a toddler sure is exhausting.




Don't even ask me how this can possibly be comfortable.

Jessica's gymnastics camps show

Last week, Jessica went to gymnastics camps. At the end of the week, there was a show. Here she is in the show.

a morning at Great America

This Saturday, the girls went with their friend Isabella to Great America. The girls wanted to do the car ride first.





Then, Jessica decided she just had to kiss Snoopy.



Jamison loved taking a whirl on the airplane ride.



And, everyone thought the carousel was fun.





Jessica and Isabella enjoyed the cat ride.



And the girls took a spin in the covered cars.



Both Jessica and Isabella enjoyed the drop ride too.

Jamison is miss busy

Jamison sure is Miss Busy these days.



She has a small obsession with the magnets on our fridge. She loves that she can take them off and stick them back on the fridge. It is part of our nightly routine.

She is also trying hard to put shapes in her shape sorter on her house. She isn't so successful at that yet.

She has, however, figured out that there is a ball drop on her water table. If she stands on the step, she can just reach the hole where the ball needs to go.

Most of the time, Jamison is simply interested in anything and everything and wanders around the house from thing to thing.

We've also started a book bedtime routine as she is really into books. She picks a book off the shelf and usually brings it over, but sits for it only some of the time. She wants to go and pick more books!

Jessica's garden is growing

Jessica's garden is growing beautifully.



The night we took this picture, we ate the zucchini that is next to Jessica. She didn't want to touch it as she thought it might be spiky.

fun at various parks

A few weekends ago, Jessica and Jamison had fun at a few of the parks around our house with their friends. The water feature at one park was a big hit.

Jamison sure does look cute in her bathing suit.




Earlier in the weekend, Jessica had fun playing on the tire swing with some of her friends from school.

Isabella's 4th birthday party

This past weekend, Jessica and Jamison celebrated Isabella's fourth birthday party. Rapunzel came to visit. All the girls enjoyed listening to her story.



The girls waited anxiously for the pass the parcel game.



Prizes were had by all. Jessica got some new princess card games to play!



Meanwhile, Jamison had fun hanging out in the chairs inside.



The princess also did face painting, which Jessica loved of course.



And, then, it was time for the pinata!



Before the princess left, she posed for a group photo.



Jamison even got to enjoy some of the tasty treats!

This weekend we took a few photos of the girls. Jamison looked super cute modeling her first princess dress (courtesy of Miss Jessica for her first birthday). She wore it to a friend's princess party that day.



Later in the weekend, both girls posed for some photos dressed as Rapunzel. We used them as pictures for thank your cards for their party.
