Jamison loves Elmo

Since Jamison did not want to pose for photos at the Elmo show, here is a picture of her that we took when she first wore her Elmo dress.  This photo was taken in the period when she had to wear her backpack everywhere.

Jessica meets Samantha

Ever since Christmas, when Jessica visited my mom's storage area with me, she has been asking me to get her the American Girl doll that she saw in storage. This weekend, I finally relented to her pleas to please have the American Girl doll to play with and we pulled out my Samantha doll and various accessories that had been saved over the years.

Jessica was very excited to meet Samantha and has played with her non-stop since bringing her home. Last night, Jessica and I had a tea party with Samantha. Despite Samantha being in her pajamas, Jessica made sure to do her makeup and put her in her fancy hat before taking this picture.

This weekend, I took the girls to the Elmo show. Jamison was thrilled to see Elmo, but less interested in posing for a picture.

Jamison had fun playing at the park this week.  She went on the slide.

And, she went on the swing.

And, she also climbed through the tunnel.

Earlier in the week, the "lunch run" girls posed for a pic as they went from the morning school to the afternoon school.

Jessica also had fun dressing up her stuffed animals during the week.

It was raining one day when we got to school, so Jamison had fun playing indoors.  She liked looking at me through the magnifying glass.

And, she is currently obsessed with trains and cars.  She likes to put all the trains together and push them around the tracks and watch them zoom down the hills.

Gwendolyn's 3rd birthday party

This past weekend, we took the girls to Gwendolyn's third birthday party.  Jessica had a great time swinging in their yard with her friends.

Fridays are fun day at our house.  While Jessica is at school, Jamison goes to music class.  She seems to love it.

Then, after Jessica is done with school, it is off to swim lessons.  Jamison started swim lessons this week too.  Here she is at her first lesson with Barb.

After her swim lesson was over, Jamison practiced talking on her swim toy.  She's practicing the "Hold on. I'm on the phone." pose.  I wonder where she gets that from?

During her lesson, Jessica had fun diving into the pool.

And, in true Jamison form, she now has to wear goggles like her sister at the pool.  It evidently does not matter if she is swimming however.

There was a birthday celebration at swim lessons this week.  Jamison was happy to participate.

A few weekends ago, Jessica and Jamison celebrated Ben's 3rd birthday.  Jessica and Isabella modeled Mater hats.

Jessica had fun taking a swing at the pinata.

And, she thought the desert was very yummy.

Jamison also realized that cake is worth sitting for.

Jamison has suddenly developed a baby and stuffed animal obsession. When awake, she carries or pushes as many around as she can.  Here she is with two of her babies and two animals, which is what she now calls Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Nightime has become quite the ritual as well since she insists on having all of her babies and animals piled around her. If she keeps collecting them at the same pace she has been, we are not going to be able to find her in her crib anymore.

Since she has taken to pushing many babies around the house in two strollers all at the same time, I broke down and purchased her this double stroller when we saw it the other weekend at the toy store. Totally frivolous I know, but she loves it!

She has also become quite interested in Jessica's vanity lately. She likes to brush her hair, blow-dry it, and apply make-up.  It is one of the few things she will sit for these days.

Easter day photos

Before Easter dinner, we took some photos at the park by our house.  The girls loved the bunny topiary, although Jamison wouldn't cooperate for a shot with her sister.

Jessica had a great time dancing in the cherry blossom flowers that were blowing through the air.

We tried to take a family portrait.  This may have been shot 100 or so.

And, the tulips were not such a hit for Jamison.

But, she loved the art installation on the front lawn.  They look like giant eggs from afar.

Easter morning

On Easter morning, the girls were very excited to get their baskets from the Easter bunny.

It was like Christmas morning at our house all over again as they went through their baskets.

Jessica was a big fan of the chocolate bunny her dad bought himself. Every other rational person walked by these chocolate monsters at Costco.  Not us though.   I wonder if he will let her have some of it? 

After the girls went through their Easter baskets, we did our traditional Easter day egg hunt.  This time it was jammy style since we did it so early in the morning.  I am sure the neighbors loved the girls running through the yard and squealing as they found eggs at 7:30am.  We initially told Jessica to hold back so that Jamison could get some eggs, but that wasn't needed for long as Jamison really got into finding and picking up eggs.

After all the eggs were discovered (or so we think), it was back inside to check out the loot.
