some Jamison moments

Jamison is all about playing with her baby dolls these days.

Jamison also likes to get busy in the kitchen.

Usually. it is just for a yummy snack like waffles though.

Jamison is also in love with her busy ball popper and pompoms.

Train of Lights

A few weekends ago, we took the girls on the train of lights in our area. We were bused in on some pretty old buses.

The girls were all bundled up as some of the train cars were open air.

We met some friends (both expected and unexpected) on the train.

Overall, the train ride was a lot of fun.

Even though not everyone (Jamison) was thrilled to see Santa.

Santa Breakfast at the zoo

A few weekends ago, we took the girls to a Santa breakfast at the zoo.

Jessica told Santa that she wanted lots of dolls for Christmas.

She then had fun decorating gingerbread cookies. The more frosting and candy the better!

Both Jessica and Jamison made Christmas ornaments for the tree.

The girls had fun riding the carousel.

And, Jessica had fun trying to ice skate.

Jessica's gingerbread man

Jessica had fun decorating her gingerbread man. Jessica ate as much candy as she put on the cookie.

decorating the house for Christmas

This year, Jessica helped decorate the Christmas tree. She wanted to hang all of the ornaments.

She also helped decorate the smaller tree in her bedroom (along with Jamison) and was proud to show that off as well.

Jamison loves all the lights and has a serious obsession with our outdoor flamingos.

Meanwhile, Squishy has found a new home under the Christmas tree.

Jamison wants to be a big girl

Jamison is very much into playing with everything Jessica plays with. Since Jessica like to do arts and crafts, Jamison wants to do them too even though they all may not be age appropriate. Recently, she has gotten into stickers, pencils and markers, and even glitter (although luckily she cannot open it yet).

seeing Santa

Last weekend, we took the girls to see Santa. The girls and I spent some time goofing around in line (cause we all know Santa is a busy man).

With this look, does anyone even wonder that Jamison is my daughter?

Eventually, we were next in line to see Santa and I was getting pretty confident that Jamison would sit on his lap. In fact, I was having a hard time stopping her from getting into the photo that was going on right before us. But, alas, when it was her turn to sit with Santa, Jamison was not into the idea at all even though big sister Jessica was a great role model.

The only way we could get Jamison to calm down is if we took a family photo. Jim and I had not really planned for this of course, but who can say no to Santa's suggestions.

Jessica got a big hug from Santa after telling him what she wanted for Christmas. I am sure it was Barbie, Barbie, Barbie.

After all the Santa stuff, I did a bit of shipping, while Jessica evidently posed for the camera.

Christmas at the Indianapolis Zoo

It was a busy day as that same night we did Christmas at the Zoo.

The girls tried to touch the sharks, but those guys are smart and wouldn't come near them! Jamison didn't care as she saw it as a big water table.

Jessica had fun posing with the lights and her butterfly wand.

Jamison was really enthralled with one of the light up Christmas trees and just had to touch it. My thought at the time was I am sure this means great things for our own Christmas tree. She has proven me correct as she has become quite adept at removing ornaments on the tree already.

It was a fun-filled, busy day and both girls liked that they got pushed around at the end. Notice how Jamison is eating again! Although, to be honest, it was more about emptying the cheddar bunnies than actually eating them.

Indianapolis Children's Museum

The day after Thanksgiving, we took the girls to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.

Here they are posing in front of a really large snowglobe.

One of the reasons we visited the museum is that they have a Barbie exhibit. Jessica was in heaven!

Jessica and Jamison had fun modeling clothes on the runway.

Jessica spent a lot of time on the computer as a fashion designer.

The girls and I rode down the giant 2-story snow slide. Jessica beat Jamison and I down by a landslide.

The girls had fun playing around in the small kid area where there was water, sand, and a whole bunch of other activities.

The carousel was the last stop of the day.

Everyone may have needed a break.
