Jamison is into figuring out how things work.  At school recently, she tried to figure out how to hammer golf tees into styrofoam.

She was also very interested in how mixing paint works.  Rather than do it on the paper, she experimented on herself. First, she would paint herself all white. Then, she painted herself all black.  She observed how the colors turned grey.  Looks like a big mess to me, but the teachers tell me that she was very purposeful in her painting.

On the other side of school, Jessica and her friends had fun playing in a band.

A few weeks ago, I went to Jessica's school to do cooking. We made fruit face waffles.  Jessica enjoyed making a face with bananas and strawberries.

more swimming fun

Jessica really enjoys her swimming lessons.  Here she is doing kickboarding with her friend Isabella.

Both girls are ready to swim across the pool.

And, Jessica practices her jumping.

Jessica has become quite the fish and loves to dive for pool toys at the bottom of the pool.

As the weather has gotten warmer, the girls have had fun playing in the yard.

Jamison thinks that she is a big girl like her sister and likes to try to swing on the big girl swing.

She scare me as she likes to lean all the way back.

And, she also likes to hang from the slide's safety bar. Probably not the safest of things.

Bubbles are a big hit too.

The dogs also love the time outdoors as it means playing ball.

Jessica has been swimming much better lately. She can now swim the whole length of the pool where swim lessons are.

Jamison loves to play before her swim lessons start.  She's into everything -- the pool toys, the play structure, and all the outside toys.

Mother's Day Photos

Here are some photos that we took of the girls on Mother's Day.

a trip to the zoo

Back in early May, we took the girls to the zoo.  Both girls loved playing on the lion statues.

Jamison really wanted to sit on the tall statue with Jessica, but there is no easy way to help hoist her up. So, she stood instead and was a bit upset about it.

They also had fun running around in circles while we looked at the gorillas.

And, Jessica wanted to be a giraffe.

Grandparent's Day at Jessica's School

A few weeks ago, Nana visited Jessica's school for Grandparents Day.  It started out with a musical performance in the amphitheater. Jessica is the far left in the bottom row.

After the concert, Jessica had a great time showing Nana her portfolio.

Chuck E. Cheese Party for Jack and Nick

About a month ago, Jessica and Jamison went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate their cousins birthdays.
On the way out, Jamison decided to pose for some pictures.

Despite a mishap in the car that required Jamison to change clothes, both girls loved Chuck E. Cheese for all of the games and rides.  Jamison's favorite were the vehicle rides.

Both girls also enjoyed the clock ride, which spun them round and round.

Now they are wondering when they get to go back to Chuck E. Cheese. They are coin, ticket, and ride obsessed.

a trip to the amusement park

A few weekends ago, we went with some friends to the local amusement park.  Both Jessica and Jamison were excited to meet Snoopy and his friend (I am not quite up on all the Peanuts gang just yet).

Jamison got brave on the carousel as she rode the horse one handed.

She also got chauffered in a really old car.

Jessica and her friends, Luke and Leilani, wanted to pose with the Snoopy statue.

Jessica and Leilani enjoyed riding the pumpkin ride all by themselves.

Most of the kids played nice when posing on the Snoopy bench, except Jamison of course.

Jessica and Leilani were also quite happy to go by themselves on the roller coaster.

The smaller kids had fun too. Jamison and Ben enjoyed a ride on the airplane.

Jessica enjoyed flying high on the swings.

Jessica was a good big sister and accompanied Jamison as the responsible party on the snail ride.

The mini drop ride was a big hit for the older kids.

And, the girls just had to pose with more of the Peanuts gang.

We ended the day with some fun in the water park.
