Halloween in Disney - October 21st

Last week, we went down to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Trick or Treat. Jessica was very excited to be at Disneyland and wanted to see lots of characters.



Jamison took her first trip to Disney in stride and decided to nap as soon as we got there.



Jessica had lots of fun with her Mimi and Papa as we waited in line to see characters. First stop was Tinker Bell and friends.



Jessica was excited to meet Terrence and Tinker Bell for the first time.





As we left the fairy area, Jessica was thrilled to run into Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, and Belle. She wasn't so thrilled to see the Beast though and he had to stand behind Belle in order to make Jessica comfortable.





Jessica finally decided to go on some rides. She had fun getting dizzy on the tea cups.



Next, we went on Small World. Jessica sung Small World the whole way and pointed out characters while Jamison was fascinated by the lights and sounds.





Jessica eventually tired of rides and we went to the Princess Faire to meet more princesses.







Then, it was off to Toon Town to meet Mickey and his friends. Jamison even got in the action when it came to meeting MIckey.





Jamison was pooped by the end of the night.

Jamison week 16

Jamison continued to play with her toys this week. She really liked her cube toy.



But, in the end, she still showed a big preference for sucking her hand.



She also had lots of fun standing in and playing with her activity center.



And, she spent time sitting in her two chairs.






Jamison also had fun hanging out with her Daddy on the couch.




And, Jamison and Jessica spent time watching movies together. Jessica is teaching Jamison all about Mickey Mouse, princesses, and fairies.

Jamison week 15

This week, Jamison really started to grab at things -- toys, fingers, bottles, and even hair.



Because of this, she tried out a bunch of new toys. She really seemed to like her crinkly book and activity cube.

She also practiced standing in her activity center. It appears that she is working her way up to playing with the toys.

She worked on tummy time in very short spurts.



She spent some time outside while I did gardening. She really liked lounging in the sun.



Most of all, she enjoyed hanging out on the couch and sucking her hand.

Jessica and Jamison hang out in the kitchen before dinner

Last night, Jessica, Jamison, and the dogs crowded into the kitchen while Jim and I cooked dinner. Jessica entertained Jamison for us. She sat next to her and played with her. She chose her new favorite seat -- the Bumbo. Amazingly, she can still squeeze into it. When we suggest she is too big for it, Jessica says that Jamison needs to share.



She does look pretty cute in it though.



Mousse decided to get involved in the kitchen fun by licking the camera.



And, Duke participated by giving Jessica kisses.



Eventually, Jessica thought it would be fun to put the Bumbo on her head.

Jessica and Jamison go to the pumpkin patch

On Sunday, we took our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch. The girls got all dressed up in Halloween outfits. Jessica wore her Minnie Mouse Halloween outfit while Jamison wore her kitty cat Halloween outfit.





Once at the pumpkin patch, there were lots of things to do. Jessica rode a pony.



Jessica helped Jamison pose with the pumpkins.



Jessica tried to decide which pumpkin she wanted to take home. We told her that she could have any pumpkin that she could carry.



I guess it got heavy.



Jessica's friends Isabella and Ben met us at the Pumpkin Patch. The girls let us take a picture of them together.



Jamison spent a good portion of the day napping in the Baby Bjorn.



Meanwhile, Jessica had fun riding the rocking horses.



And, Jessica and her daddy took a hay ride with Isabella and her family.




We tried to pose for a family photo. Jamison didn't really cooperate.



As we left the pumpkin patch, the girls had fun in the giant pumpkin.

Jamison week 14

This week was definitely low key as Jamison spent a few days in the hospital due to an infection. We spent a lot of time at home once she was released, so that she would not be exposed to anything else.

She passed the time by starting to play with her toys while sitting on the couch.





She also practiced her tummy time. She likes to be propped up on the boppy and "watch" TV.



And, she does a whole lot of moving around when she lays on her back now.

In fact, sometimes she moves off her mat completely and across the family room floor.

She is finally using a paci (at least from time to time). I think this is due to the sweeties they put on it in the hospital while she was getting poked. She still sucks her hand, but maybe just maybe the pacifier will take its place.



And, now that it is October, both Jamison and Jessica are looking forward to Halloween. Here they are modeling just one of their Halloween outfits.

Jessica's goes to her school's Fall Carnival

On Sunday, Jessica went to her school's fall carnival. She was very excited to wear her Mickey Halloween dress.



Once we got to the carnival, she wanted to have her face painted like a butterfly.



Jessica and her daddy had lots of fun playing mini golf.



She also had a good time jumping in the bounce houses.

Jessica puts on makeup for the first time

While I was getting ready for a cocktail party this weekend, Jessica wanted to get ready too. She wanted to have some makeup to put. I finally gave her a small set of her own to play with. This was the result.
