Jamison week 3

Jamison just hit the 3-week old mark yesterday. It's amazing how quickly time flies. All of a sudden, she is spending more time awake with her eyes open and looking around.




She's also doing more and more tummy time. Some of it is done on the boppy.




And, some of it is done on her tummy time mat. She seems to like being on her tummy and falls asleep very easily in this position.

Jessica's 3rd birthday party

A few weekends ago, we had Jessica's third birthday party at Pump It Up! . Here Jessica and her friends are ready to go into the bounce room.



Jessica loved the big slide. She went up and down it many times.



Playing basketball in the bounce house was fun too.



But, the best part, seemed to be the obstacle course that the kids had to traverse.

When it came time for singing and cake, Jessica got to sit in the princess chair.

We think the party was a success. Jessica fell fast asleep as soon as she got home.

Jamison Week 2

Jamison had her 2 week check-up at the doctor this week. She weighed in at 8 lbs and was 19.75 inches. So, she gained about a pound since she left the hospital and grew half an inch. She is still sleeping quite a bit, but is spending more time awake, looking around, and trying to track objects. The doctor thinks she will be cooing and smiling soon. The best news was that we don't have to wake her up every 3 hours at night. Now, we are only doing one feeding in the middle of the night!

She still spends quite a bit of time sleeping during the day. At least she looks cute while doing it.





She is spending more and more time doing tummy time. She doesn't seem to mind it too much and often falls asleep on her tummy.



She also spends a lot of time looking at us with one eye open.

The rest of Jamison's first week at home

The rest of Jamison's first week at home was filled with sleep, sleep, and even more sleep.

She slept in her bassinet.



And in her papasan chair.






And in her boppy.



She even managed to sleep while doing tummy time.



We did catch her awake every once in a while.

Jamison's first bath

A few days after being home, Jamison got her first bath. Jamison isn't quite ready for the full-on baby bath. Instead, she gets bathed on a big sponge. The bath started out okay.




She quickly broke down into full on screams however.

Jamison got all dressed up for her trip home from the hospital.

Jamison and Jim caught a much needed snooze one afternoon at the hospital.

There was lots of time for pictures of Jamison while we were at the hospital. Here are a few more photos of Jamison that Jim took.

She briefly got into the photos as she gave us a small smile and her best pose.



And, then it was all over.

Jamison's First Days in the Hospital

Jamison and I spent four days in the hospital after she was born. This photo was taken right after she was brought to our room from the nursery (after her beauty bath).



It seemed like all she wanted to do was sleep that first day.



Eventually she opened her eyes for a few moments. They are blue right now, but who knows what they will be like in the future.



Both of Jamison's grandmas visited her throughout her stay in the hospital (in addition to many other friends and family).





And, big sister Jessica made lots of trips to see her new baby sister. She was very good with Jamison (minus declaring her umbilical poop and not wanting to get anywhere near it).

Welcome Jamison Frankie Glore

On Tuesday, June 29th, at 8:05am, we welcomed Jamison Frankie Glore into the world. She weighed in at 7lbs 2oz and was 19.25 inches long.



The anesthesiologist was nice enough to take our first photo with Jamison in the operating room.



And, did I mention that this child has a set of lungs on her. The doctors and nurses kept commenting on how she was one of the loudest they had seen in a c-section for some time.



I guess she wasn't happy about being evicted from her home of 9 months.

Jessica models

This week, Jessica had the opportunity to be a model for a sewing pattern that is coming out soon. Her Mimi came with the finished outfit that will be for the "Jessica" pattern. All we had to do was take photos of Jessica wearing the outfit. Here are some of the photos that Jim took of her modeling the outfit.






Evidently, by the end of the photo session, Jessica was hamming it up for the camera and running around asking her Daddy to take photos of her.

Jessica has even more fun at school

This past week, Jessica had another good week at school. She spent lots of time painting pictures outside on the patio. Of course, her friend, Isabella, joined her.



And, all of a sudden, she has taken an interest in the baby dolls at school. We assume this is because of her new baby sister. Last week, she had fun carrying a baby doll around in the baby carrier and patting the baby on the head.
