first day of school for Jessica and Jamison

This year, Jessica started first grade a few days before Jamison started  ELC A at the same school.  Here is Jessica on her first day of school before we left the house.

When we got to her class, her first job was to make her name tag.  First grade is a bit different than Kindergarten because there are assigned seats.

After she made her name tag, she could browse the class library.  She was excited to see so many books!

It was also fun to see some friends in her class too.

Later in the week, Jamison started ELC A.  We were lucky to get her out of the house and to school on time.  We were also lucky to get a photo of her in the classroom.  She was willing when we finally suggested that she take a photo with Carl (the class dog).

What she wore on the first day of school was not quite what we had hoped she would wear.  She had lots of pretty dresses to choose from in her closet.  The next week, she finally decided to start wearing some of them.
