Disneyland Day 2 March 2012

Each trip, the girls get to pick out one toy while they are at Disneyland. During the first day, Jessica was very clear she wanted a baby Goofy, so we ended up getting it for her then. We usually wait until the last day. Anyways, the next day, she carried him all throughout the park and took him on all the rides.



On the way into the park, we ran into the White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts.



The Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts were also out.



And, Minnie Mouse was out too. Jamison was so very excited to meet her.





She just didn't want to say goodbye to Minnie.



Jessica was excited to meet Donald.



Jamison was not at all interested in meeting him however.



While Jim rode Space Mountain, the girls and I went to see the fairies.






Jessica had a blast driving on Autotopia.



Baby Goofy came too.



We all had fun riding the carousel--even Baby Goofy.





Then, it was back to seeing more characters. We ran into Snow White and the Evil Queen in front of the castle.



And, when it started raining, we spent some time indoors in Toon Town seeing more characters.







The girls stayed up super late at California Adventure riding the rides. They loved the carousel.



Who needs a bedtime?

a long time coming....disneyland day 1 march 2012

Before Disneyland got busy with spring break crowds, we went down for a quick 3-day trip. Jessica had fun saying hi to Goofy in Toon Town.



We also ran into Jasmine and Aladdin near the entrance. Jessica was too shy to pose with Aladdin, but eventually said hi to Jasmine. She was very excited to meet her.



One of Jessica's favorite stops is the Tarzan tree. Jamison had fun climbing all the stairs this trip.



We had a great day riding all the rides. Jessica was wiped out when we got back to the hotel past bedtime and fell right asleep. Jamison could have gone all night though!

Recently, in the big part of the school, Jessica and other friends participated in planting flowers and vegetables in the school garden even though it was rainy.



Jessica has also been enjoying drawing with chalk on the sidewalk outside and doing finger painting in the art room.




And, music time outside has also been a big hit.



On the toddler side of school, Jamison has been enjoying bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles.



The water balls in the inside table have also been a big hit.



Jamison enjoyed water painting the fence. She just had to wear her fleece hat that day.



She also enjoyed playing with play-doh.



The rocking boat outside is also one of her favorite spots.



And, lately, she has taken to wearing one or more smocks around the yard.

When Melissa went to pick up the girls at lunch one day, Jessica and her friend Isabella had decorated themselves with make-up (aka chalk).

an early Easter trip to Build a Bear

For Easter, Nana took Jessica and Jamison to Build a Bear. Jamison chose a Meow (cat) and Jessica chose Hello Kitty. The girls waited for their animals to be stuffed. That's Meow on the stuffer.



Jamison had a hard time with the concept of only one heart for her Meow. Eventually, she figured it out though and put the heart in her kitty.



Jamison really enjoyed the fluffing station. Meow got a really good brushing. No hair balls for her.



Between that and the toy stroller that Jamison found to push Meow in, it was very difficult for us to leave the store (think large tantrum).

Jamison enjoys the park

Jamison loves being outside and loves going to the park. When Melissa takes Jamison to the park, she enjoys going on the slides and swing.

swim lessons

On Fridays after school, Jessica takes swim lessons with her friends from Coach Barb. While she waits for the lessons to start, she often plays with her friends in the yard.



She has been practicing diving lately. Here she is getting ready to dive.



And, here she is waiting for her turn to swim while sporting her new Speedo.



For the time being, Jamison is not taking lessons. She will start after Spring Break. So, while everyone else is swimming, Jamison gets to play. She really likes to pat the bunny statue in the backyard.



And, she has fun playing with all the toys in the yard.

gym class

Jamison has been enjoying her gym class. The other week, she practiced head stands.



Jessica visited class that day too and got to practice as well.



Jamison enjoys swinging in the dolphin swing.



And, the toy pit is fun too.

I love sleeping babies

Babies are so cute when they are sleeping.

Since the weather has been pretty nice, we have been spending a lot of time outdoors. All of a sudden, Jamison is able to climb the ladder on the play structure. I have no idea when that happened. All I can think is that it took Jessica much longer to accomplish this task. And, Jamison seems so little, but she is able to pull herself up nonetheless.

Another one of Jamison's favorite activities is bubbles. She doesn't know how to blow bubbles, but she certainly likes to try.

And, the sand table is always big hit for all the filling and pouring opportunities that it provides.




When inside, Jamison also likes to draw on her chalkboard.



She is also a big fan of anything that moves -- cars and trains. We've had to pull out the trains for her to play with. Thanks to her friend Ben, one of her new favorite words is Whee!

Jessica's latest obsession

Jessica's latest obsession is with Beyonce's Single Ladies song. I believe it stems from her liking the Chippettes in the Alvin 2 movie and that was their song. Plus, she now wants to listen to more grown up music. Anyways, she is obsessed with this song. She sings it, wants to hear it all the time, and dances to it at impromptu dance parties in our dining room. Here is Jessica's dance rendition.
