Disneyland Vacation Day 2 - April 2011

At the start of our second day in Disneyland, Jessica met Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts at the entrance to Disneyland.



It was then on to more characters. She visited with Tinkerbell and Silvermist.





After riding the fairyland boat ride, it was off to Toon Town where she spotted Goofy again.



As we waited in line to see the princesses, the Disneyland photographers captured some candids of Jessica and Jamison.





Then, Jessica got to meet Tiana, Belle, and Ariel.







Eventually, we made our way over to the Winnie the Pooh ride. Jessica loved it and we rode it again and again. Over in Pooh country, Jessica got to meet a lot of characters like Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore.









Jamison even got in on some of the fun.





Then, it was time to leave the park.



Jessica got a surprise on the way out of the park as she ran into Jasmine and Aladdin.



It was a whirlwind day. The girls had a lot of fun, but they were absolutely exhausted. We barely made it out of the gates before they completely passed out in the stroller.

Disneyland Vacation Day 1 - April 2011

Jessica was so excited that Mickey Mouse finally called and told us it was our turn to visit Disneyland. In fact, he stopped to say hi to us as soon as we got there.





This was a happy moment for us. Jessica rode the rocket ship right away. Last trip, she didn't want to ride any rides, so this was a big deal.



Meanwhile, Jamison hung out and watched us fly high.



Jamison quickly voted Small World as her favorite ride. She was willing to go on it anytime. Luckily for her, her sister likes to go again and again.



We can't stop at Small World without a stop at the Princess Faire anymore. Luckily for us, the coronation ceremony was going on and Jessica got to see a few princesses.





Then, it was off to Toon Town to see more characters. Jessica had fun getting autographs while Jamison napped in the stroller.







Later in the day, Jessica picked out her mouse ear hat. Princess of course and it had a veil and a tiara. How perfect!

a trip to Gilroy Gardens

A few weekends ago, we took the girls to Gilroy Gardens for their first trip of the season.



There was no one there, so Jessica could finally ride the duck boat ride, which usually has an extremely long line. She was so excited!





This trip, Jessica was into riding all of the rides. She and Jamison rode the spinning artichokes.



Then, Jessica went on the caterpillar coaster with her daddy.



Jamison and I bravely rode the car ride with Jessica as she drove us around.



Next, Jamison and Jessica enjoyed the boat ride.



Jessica was into the braids she was wearing and had fun twirling around with them.



As usual, the waterfall was a big hit. Jessica ran around and around it.



Jessica and Jamison rode the fire trucks together.



And, both Jessica and Jamison had fun riding the fish ride.

Jamison week 40

This week, Jamison realized that she could have much more fun standing and cruising around things rather than simply sitting on the floor. She likes to hang out at the coffee table and will even walk around it (although she hasn't let me catch that on video yet).

She's also discovered her big sister's toys and has decided that they are much more exciting than baby toys. She had a blast testing out the musical instruments. Like most babies, she deemed the egg shaker the best!

At least Jessica enjoys sharing the instruments and playing them with Jamison.



Jamison isn't all about the new instruments though. She still enjoys her own piano too. Most likely because it is a great place to stand.




Jamison also dug into magna tiles and blocks and realized those could be a lot of fun too. They make good chew toys!





I am pretty sure that the days of Jessica building pristine princess towers on the floor are numbered.



We also pulled out the ball popper for Jamison this week. No big surprise that she likes it, but she hasn't quite figured out what to do with it yet.

And, as the weather has warmed up, the girls are enjoying the backyard. The ball pit seems like a favorite place to hang out (mostly because that is one of the few things that Jamison can do).

Jessica redecorates her bed

A few nights ago, Jessica started a new trend at bedtime. She hangs her various lovies in the bed above her. Kind of scary and morbid looking if you ask me!

Ladybug superhero

Last weekend, Jessica transformed herself into a ladybug superhero.

Jamison week 39

This past week was a huge week of firsts for Jamison. All of a sudden, she started pulling herself up to a standing position and babbling "da, da, da".

She has also started taking steps using her walker.

And, as usual, she was all smiles this week.

Jessica and Jamison go to Zoe's 4th Birthday Party

Jesssica and Jamison went to Jessica's friend's birthday party this past weekend. Zoe turned 4 and had a birthday party at MyGym. While Jessica bounced on the trampoline with Isabella, Jamison practiced her standing.





Jamison also had fun playing with a ball.



And, Jessica enjoyed balancing on a beam.



Jamison then wowed the crowd by trying to walk.



Jessica continued to practice her gym skills by hanging upside down and climbing the ladder wall.
