This blog is about the Glore family. It chronicles the lives of Jim, Jen, Jessica, and Jamison Glore plus all of our animals. Of course, it's mostly so people can see what Jessica and Jamison are up to and how they are growing.

Jamison is really swimming
Jamison's swimming is really coming along. Here is a video from one of her recent lessons.
fall carnival at Jessica's school
In the beginning of October, Jessica's school had a fall carnival where each of the grades got to play different types of games. Kindergarten's color was orange, so Jessica picked her Hello Kitty Halloween dress to wear.
One of the first games the Kindergarteners played was a flag football / tag modification. Here is Jessica posing with her friends Olivia and Leila.
One of the most fun games for the parents to watch was tug-of-war. If you have ever tried to line up Kindergartners for a fair game of tug-of-war, you know it is a challenge. Jessica and her friends Ella and Leila waited around for the game to start.
And, here are some pictures from the tug-of-war challenge.

Jessica and Jamison go to the pumpkin patch
A few weeks ago, we took Jessica and Jamison to a local pumpkin patch. The girls wore their Hello Kitty pumpkin dresses.
The girls had fun picking pumpkins. The rule is that they can each choose one for carving, but they must be able to pick it up themselves.
As usual, the rule of just one pumpkin is hard to follow and the girls found many different types of pumpkins that they wanted to take home.
After selecting pumpkins, we were able to take a few more photos of the girls.
Jamison was not as cooperative as Jessica during our picture attempts.

We met up with friends Isabella and Ben at the pumpkin patch and all of the kids took a picture together.
We also managed to snag a family portrait.
hurry, hurry, drive the train
During one of Jamison's Morning Meetings at school, they were able to hear and see the train that passed by. It was then time to play and Ms. Jesly asked "Who would like to help me build a train in the block area?" "Me, me, me, me”, they all cried out! Jamison and many of her friends wanted to help build a train.
Ms. Jesly grabbed a large block with the steering wheel and placed it in the front of "the train". Soon all of the little helpers had a block and connected them to the steering wheel, which served as the engine. Then it was time for everyone to get onboard the train. They began to sing "Hurry Hurry Drive the Train".
Ethan's 6th Birthday
At the end of last month, Jessica celebrated Ethan's 6th birthday with friends from school. Here they are enjoying some food after playing a bunch of sports games at the party.
Then, everyone sang Happy Birthday to Ethan.
The big hit of the party was the tape measures in the favor bags. Jessica and some of her friends had fun measuring themselves and the trees.

No Daddy!
Mornings at our house have been "fun" as Jamison has been upset that Jessica goes to school with Mommy while she goes to school with Daddy. We regularly hear "no daddy, no daddy" with lots of big tears.
Jamison moves to a big girl bed
At the end of September, Jamison decided that she was done with her crib. All of a sudden, she started climbing out of it one day at nap (little fingers were observed under the door). After a big thud, we decided that we would move her to a big girl bed that night. She like to sleep with her books, but this keeps her in bed.
swimming after school
Every week, Jessica and Jamison go to swim lessons after school. They frequently swim with their friends. Here are Jessica and Isabella posing for a cute picture in their school uniforms before swim lessons started.
Then, they changed into their swimsuits and took another cute photo.
And, Jamison is doing really well at swimming. Here she is swimming across the pool all on her own.

Jessica plays basketball
Jessica has recently started to play basketball with some friends from school. The first few weeks have been learning skills and then it is on to games.
Jessica has been practicing dribbling.
Jamison enjoys going to basketball too because she can run around and play with balls.
