hula hooping -- practice makes perfect

When I was at Jessica's school on Thursday this week, she showed me how much her hula hooping skills have improved.

Jamison week 47

This week was all about the hair for Jamison. All of a sudden, it is sticking up and going every which way. It is a mess all the time. She still looks cute though!






I've tried to straighten it up with combs, rubber bands, and bows. At Jack and Nicky's party, she sported her first pigtail look. It got rave reviews. She, of course, cared less about the hair do and much more about the ball pit she got to sit it for 1+ hours. Jack and Nicky's party got two thumbs up from Jamison.



Jamison is at the cruising stage. She likes to go back and forth and practice her standing (and pounding).

Since she is mobile via crawling and cruising, she dashes around the house in search of her favorite toys. She seems to love the toys in the back part of the house (ironing board/washing machine and train table). To Jamison, they all make great chew toys and standing assistants.



In fact, Jamison will pretty much use anything she can get her hands on to stand up. Jessica has a new step stool to cook in the kitchen. It makes a perfect peek-a-boo toy for Jamison.



And, here's another photo of more standing by Jamison.



Every once in a while she will actually take a minute to play with toys.



But, at the end of the day, it is all about standing. Jamison can stand for some time now. The next step is taking steps on her own.

Something else to mention for this week. Jamison has been teething for ages. Tooth #3 is starting to peek through. It is one of the front top teeth.

fun in the sun

After a week of clouds and rain, we finally got some good weather (and on a weekend nonetheless). Jessica and Jamison enjoyed an afternoon in the backyard. Jessica opted for the pool while Jamison preferred the ball pit.

Jamison week 46

This week Jamison was all about making messes. She gets into everything and dumps things everywhere until she finds just the perfect toy.



She also continued to enjoy her musical instruments. It is a great activity for her to do while we make dinner.

Jamison and Jessica were excited when new toys came out of the attic. This is Jamison's new favorite toy to stand at.



And, Jamison practiced standing. She's able to stand for a few seconds by herself now

the girls enjoy a playdate

Jessica and Jamison enjoyed a playdate at Isabella and Ben's house this past weekend. Jessica and Isabella put on dress up and music shows for us.

Jessica and Isabella also made us cupcakes for dessert.



Let's just say that none of us ate them.

Jamison had fun too playing with all of Ben's toys. She especially like the zooming car track.

big thunder mountain story

Jessica did this Big Thunder Mountain story at school.



It's about a big mountain that is dark and bumps and it's in Disneyland Resort. I didn't go it, but I went on the Big Matterhorn. My dad usually holds my head so I don't shake.

Mother's Day Gifts

I got lots of Mother's Day gifts from the girls this year.

Jessica did a card and poem at one of her schools.






The poem was called "Flipping Over".

I was inside my Mommy.
Then I was born and I was a little baby.
I was trying to flip over, but I can't.
I can hear screaming of the mommy.
I could hear loud tigers.
I could feel the uterus of my mommy.
When daddy was born, he fit in a swing.
When mommy was born, she fit in a swing too.
When daddy, mommy, and Jessica were big,
we jumped on the trampoline with Jamison.

She then made me a picture at her other school.



Jamison even got in the sprirt and made a card too.

fun at the mattress store

Jessica had fun at the mattress store tonight. She used the mattresses like a trampoline and bounced from one to the other. Yes, we were one of those parents who let our kid jump around while we tested beds. At least no one else was in the store.

Mother's Day Photos

We tried to get a shot of Jessica and Jamison together.



They also posed with their cousins Jack and Nicky.

A trip to Gilroy Gardens

This past weekend, Jessica and Jamison went to Gilroy Gardens with their friends Isabella and Ben. Jessica was excited to have her friend Isabella there.



As usual, one of Jessica's favorite activities was running through the waterfall.



Jessica and Jamison rode the fire truck.



Jessica and Isabella spun themselves round and round.



As usual, the fish ride was a big hit.





The girls had fun driving the car together.



Overall, it was a good day.

Jamison week 45

More smiles from Jamison this week. She's looking super cute now that she's sporting a little ponytail on top of her head.



Most of the week was spent cruising around the house.

At the end of April, we took the girls to the zoo. As usual, Jessica had fun climbing the lion statues.

We have been having a bit of hot weather here, so Jim put up the new baby pool with slide this past weekend. Jessica had a great time going down the slide.

volunteer day at Jessica's school

At the end of April, I spent a day volunteering at Jessica's school. Jessica showed me painting, the garden they planted, the eggs in the incubator, and her new hulla hoop skills.

Jamison week 44

This week, Jamison was a bit sick with a cold and goopy eye. You couldn't really tell because she was still pretty happy.



She went to the doctor for the goopy eye and she really had a good time while she waited.

Jamison spent a lot of time at home this week since she was under the weather. Her friend in the mirror was a great source of entertainment.

Jamison week 43

Once again, Jamison was looking pretty cute this week.



Jessica and Jamison enjoyed spending time in the backyard. As usual, Jamison enjoyed the ball pit.



Jessica usually joins Jamison in the ball pit and they have a blast emptying all of the balls.



Jamison is no longer just sitting in the ball pit. She wants out!



She's also been experimenting with standing on her own. Look, no hands!



Jessica also enjoyed showing Jamison the new baby slide we got for her. She's not sliding on her own of course, but she will grow into it soon.
