Easter brunch

This year, we had family and friends over for an egg hunt and brunch. Jessica and Jamison wore dresses and jackets that their Mimi made them.

Jessica had fun searching for eggs.

And all of the kids had a fun time bouncing around on the trampoline.

While the older kids played outside, Jamison was the center of attention inside. She loved the little bunny she was given by Mary, Charlie, Stephanie, and Michael.

Easter basket fun

Easter day started bright and early. For some reason, the girls woke up extra early. Maybe they realized that the Easter Bunny had made a special visit. Anyways, we did Easter baskets in bed since we couldn't bring ourselves to get up and the baskets gave the girls a reason to sit in our bed (at least for a little bit).

Jessica was excited to receive a Tangled themed gift basket. I never really thought I would giver her underwear as a gift, but she has been coveting her friend's Rapunzel underwear. And, in an effort to give her things on special occasions rather than when she asks for them, I had saved them for her Easter basket. She was super excited to finally have some of her own! Of course, when she lists underwear as one of the items in her Easter basket, it sounds rather disappointing. I am hoping that she does not share this in morning meeting. She was also super pleased that the Easter Bunny replaced her bunny bubbles that she got last year. She remembers she used them up last year and wanted more. I did not remember this though. Score one for me for getting two last year and finding the second set in the closet when hunting for things to put in the basket. Of course, she asked me to tell the Easter Bunny she wanted exactly the same one next year. Hmmm.

Jamison got a basket too. She seemed to like her bunny and easter figurines. We are not going to tell either Jamison or Jessica that this basket was constructed of playthings from previous Easter celebrations!

All of the toys in Jamison's basket went straight into her mouth of course.

Jamison also realized that the Easter bucket could be fun as well.

Easter Festivities

Today, we took Jessica and Jamison to a local Easter Egg Hunt. They went with their friends Isabella and Ben. Isabella and Jessica were excited to be at the egg hunt together.

The girls were able to take photos with the Easter Bunny.

The local firemen sponsor the egg hunt and the kids were given firemen hats and badges and got to tour the firetruck. We just got in before the firetruck had to go out on a call.

Jessica's funny faces

Jim was playing around with Jessica the other night at dinner and got her to do her funny faces. I'm glad he is teaching her to be a lady.

Jamison weeks 41 and 42

The past few weeks have been quite busy as we took a trip to Disneyland, Jim started a new job, and both kids were sick for some time with a stomach virus. Most photos from week 41 of Jamison are from our time in Disneyland, so see our Disney blog entries for photos.

Once we got home from Disneyland, Jamison was feeling a bit under the weather, but she was still a happy baby.

And, despite being under the weather, she still was cruising around the house non-stop.

She likes to move around and investigate all of the toys.

One of her favorite toys is the kitty piano.

And, she's taken a real liking to playing with anything her sister plays with. In this case, she found some of Jessica's Duplos very exciting. All I can say about this is life is getting increasingly more challenging.

And, in case anyone forget, Jamison is a fan of her ball pit.

Disneyland Vacation Day 4 - April 2011

The last day of our trip was filled with princesses, princesses, and more princesses as Jessica wanted to do the Princess Faire again and we had lunch with the princesses before heading home. Before doing all things princess, however, we took advantage of Magic Morning and raced through more rides than we could count. Jessica was obsessed with the Pinnochio and Snow White rides and we rode them both again and again.

Anyways, to celebrate with the princesses, Jessica wore her new Ariel ball gown. This was thanks to her Daddy who secured a new princess gown the night before just as the park was closing. Mommy forgot to pack one and none of us wanted to experience the meltdown Jessica would have if she went to lunch without a princess costume.

At the Princess Faire that morning, Jessica saw Belle and Ariel.

After more rides, it was off to the Princess Lunch in California Adventure. By this point, Jessica was sporting a new faux princess ponytail. I call it my bibbidi bobbiti boo look.

Princess Ariel greeted Jessica at the lunch.

Then, the other princesses came around and said hello during lunch. Even Jamison took part in some of the photo ops.

Jamison loved the crown that Jessica decorated for her.

Disneyland Vacation Day 3 - April 2011

Both girls were excited to hit Disneyland for the third day in a row!

On the way into the park, Jessica ran into one of her new favorite characters -- Cruella Deville.

As usual, Jessica had fun on Small World.

Since the girls were running a bit tired, we headed home early for a night in with Disney toys, movies, and popcorn!

Disneyland Vacation Day 2 - April 2011

At the start of our second day in Disneyland, Jessica met Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts at the entrance to Disneyland.

It was then on to more characters. She visited with Tinkerbell and Silvermist.

After riding the fairyland boat ride, it was off to Toon Town where she spotted Goofy again.

As we waited in line to see the princesses, the Disneyland photographers captured some candids of Jessica and Jamison.

Then, Jessica got to meet Tiana, Belle, and Ariel.

Eventually, we made our way over to the Winnie the Pooh ride. Jessica loved it and we rode it again and again. Over in Pooh country, Jessica got to meet a lot of characters like Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Jamison even got in on some of the fun.

Then, it was time to leave the park.

Jessica got a surprise on the way out of the park as she ran into Jasmine and Aladdin.

It was a whirlwind day. The girls had a lot of fun, but they were absolutely exhausted. We barely made it out of the gates before they completely passed out in the stroller.
