Jessica was very serious about wearing her hat this weekend. She had to wear it to breakfast with her nana.

Last night Jessica had her weekly swim lesson. Here she is modeling one of her many bathing suits.

Jessica goes to the Children's Museum and sees the Bubble Man

Today, Jessica went to the Children's Museum with her friend Isabella. They enjoyed the art room where they painted and did salad spinner art.





After lunch, they saw the bubble man who put on a bubble show. Jessica was asked on stage to kiss a bubble. I screwed up the video, but you get the idea.

Spring is right around the corner and that means outdoor play and bubbles are back. All the stores have their bubbles, bubble machines, etc. out, so we decided to bring out bubbles for Jessica to play with again. This year, she seems to have a bit more control.

Jessica gets her teeth cleaned

Today, Jessica had her second visit to the dentist. She was very excited to go and show him her teeth. She got her teeth cleaned (see picture below) and was a complete champ. It was definitely an experience. She got to wear sunglasses (to help with the bright light), play with the mirror, and had her teeth tickled.

Jessica enjoyed (if that is possible) her sick day from school. With a fever last night, ear infections in both ears, and an eye infection, it was no school today. Instead, she spent time on the couch while watching movies. She absolutely had to wear her Sleeping Beauty glasses while watching TV. Very diva if you ask me. She also wanted to try out her underwear today (hence the sitting on towels).

Tonight, Jim put up a trampoline for Jessica. A gift for her, but also a gift for Mommy (easy entertainment for Jessica in the backyard as well as a way to tire her out!). She seemed to enjoy taking it for spin.

Jessica goes mini golfing

We took Jessica to play mini golf today.

Here, Jim is trying to show her how to hit the golf ball.



Despite the lesson, she makes shots in an unconventional way.



She eventually decided that throwing the ball in the hole was best.

Jessica goes to the zoo with her cousin Nicky

Last weekend, Jessica went to the zoo with her cousin Nicky. No zoo trip is complete without a ride on the horses.



Both Jessica and Nicky liked the Children's Zoo. They fed the animals, pushed the wheelbarrows, brushed the animals, and drove the tractors.

a birthday party with Dora

Last weekend, Jessica went to her friend Eliz'a birthday party. Dora was a special guest! Jessica had a great time.

She danced with Dora.



She marched around the garden with Dora.



She thought that doing the limbo was fun.



She had fun bouncing on the trampoline.



She posed with Eliza, Lily, and Dora.



And what party wouldn't be complete without cupcakes!

Jessica makes pancakes

All of a sudden, Jessica is very interested in helping in the kitchen. If she sees that you are cooking / making something, she announces that "she wants to help" and that "she is going to get her stool". This results in a mad dash to and from the bathroom to retrieve her stool. Assuming no accidents have taken place, she returns screaming "make space, make space" as she wants to get involved in the process. This weekend, she helped Jim make heart pancakes (her latest favorite variation). She observed for a bit, helped flip, and then even made her own, which did look more like a circle.
